STIL is developing a wearable medical device to detect and counteract forearm tremor. An anti-tremor brace to improve the life quality of people with Parkinson’s Disease or suffering from Essential Tremor.
Our tremor detection algorithm is a fundamental component of our anti-tremor brace. The one that we currently implemented in our brace prototype is based on solid research, a master thesis, and experimental improvements. We are searching for a student willing to take the challenge of improving it, by making use of more sensory inputs. The project has the following goals:
Implement a sensor fusion algorithm to reconstruct tremor characteristics.
Improve robustness and detection performance.
