Automatic Handwriting Feature Recognition

Ans (ans.app, a Delft based company that facilitates exams) is looking for someone to help them out to improve the automatic recognition of some features on scans of handwritten exam forms.

Do you have experience with this (e.a. some OCR, MLP image classifiers) and would you like to know more?
