Online Summer Buddy

The international office ME is looking out for -online- summer buddies who will give our new incoming international students (Master/Exchange) the best start of their studies here at our Faculty.

We are looking for you if you are:

• are a current Master student Faculty Mechanical Engineering;
• eager and dedicated to help students from all over the world with practical questions regarding living in the Netherlands, daily life issues like ‘where do I buy a bike’ as well as questions relating to the study programme;
• (online) available during summer 2024 (Mid July – beginning of September) for approx. 2 hours a week, total amount of weeks tbd;
• Creative in getting a group together, invent (online) activities to get social interaction between the students, would like to play a role in building a social community for them and set up a whatsapp group;
• willing to meet up in person once or twice with your group of students closer to the start of the programme and organize a social activity.
• available (a couple of hours) during the Faculty Introduction day, Friday 30 August 2024

More details:

• This is mainly an online job opportunity with a couple of in person gatherings closer to the start of the programme;
• 2 hours per week Mid July – beginning of September 2024, amount of weeks tbd;
• You will get your own group of students: group size may vary according the Programme;
• You will be appointed by FlexDelft and they will arrange your payment, you need to be a registered student at TU Delft. Please note that if you have a non-EU nationality FlexDelft will apply for your work permit (TWV);
• You will receive tools and help from the international office how to get your group started. We organize a summer buddy kick off session.

We will make a selection and inform you further in June about the outcome. Looking forward to receiving your email!
