On 27th February 2026, DSA Kalman hosted a Start-up Drinks evening for the students of Systems and Control. The goal of the event was to bring students and innovative companies together in an informal setting where people could easily connect and have real conversations.
Five exciting start-ups joined us to share what they are working on and to meet students who are curious about the world beyond their studies. Instead of formal presentations, the evening focused on open discussions. Students had the chance to ask questions, learn about real applications of systems and control, and get a better idea of the kinds of opportunities that exist in industry.
With drinks and food throughout the evening, the atmosphere stayed relaxed and social. This made it easy for everyone to walk around, start conversations, and exchange ideas. It was great to see such a strong turnout and so many students actively engaging with the companies.
A special thank you goes to Oceano Robotics, Barge Master, SenseGlove, Emmett Green, and Gradyent for taking the time to join us, share their vision, and inspire our students.
We are very grateful for their presence and enthusiasm, and we hope the evening created valuable connections for both students and companies.
